Layers
DIEMAKER provides a
standardized, easily manipulated layer scheme that you can start using
immediately. Using the DIEMAKER layer scheme saves you the trouble of developing
your own layer standards. There are layers for the die block, punch pad, and
stripper and so on. You control what layers are used, and DIEMAKER gives you
powerful tools for controlling them.

The
DIEMAKER layer control dialogue boxes allow you to easily control the layers
that are visible. With just a few picks you can do things like freeze all the
layers except the die block layers. Or if you want to quickly check heal
clearance, you can have DIEMAKER freeze all the layers in the drawing except the
punch and die block layers.
Because DIEMAKER knows the layer names, it will switch to the dimension layer
when you begin dimensioning and return you to the original layer when you have
finished.
The DIEMAKER
"Copy and Offset" function will take a punch contour and copy it to
the stripper layer with stripper clearance, the die block layer with die
clearance, and the die shoe layer with die shoe clearance.
