2002-04-24 - Added a new feature to better control the setting of system variable dimassoc that controls the new "truly associative" dimension that some users prefer to do without.  A new control variable has been added to the DIEMAKER.MNL file to allow users to set their preferred value.

2002-03-29 - Corrected a problem with Automatic Hole Charting that caused the function to stop adding labels when it encountered a polyline built from an exploded DIEMAKER hole. 

2002-03-27 - A few weeks ago I added DM_BIC and DM_BIP functions that can be called from the keyboard or from a custom toolbar or icon.  DM_BIC calls "BOM Insert Clone" and DM_BIP calls "BOM Insert Parent".

2002-03-27 - Added a new function for adjusting polylines.  Because W.E.D.M. tends to "wash out" on corners, some designers will adjust corner radii by small amounts in order to compensate and "ease" the fit between punch and die.  It seems that this is commonly done in tools where the clearance between punch and die was small, but it is sometimes also done on tools with larger clearance in order to achieve better die-break conditions in the corners.  This new function automates the task for both punch and die contours.  Before I make this function widely available I would like to have one or two users try it out.  So if you're interested in this new function please contact me.

2002-03-26 - Changed the new DM_QPLN to allow selection of any item instead of just lines.

2002-03-22 - Added a new function for drawing slots to "Shapes" in the "Supplies" section of DIEMAKER.  The old slot function only drew slots by specifying the over-all dimensions of the slot.  The new function prompts for the distance between centers. 

2002-03-21 - Corrected a problem with bushings.  Bushings with straight through holes (4th icon) are now drawn correctly. 

2002-03-20 - When I improved the DM_SWAP function last week, I added support for circles.  So now when the function prompts you to select a block to be replaced, you have the option of selecting a circle.

2002-03-18 - Added a new function that converts all layer names to uppercase.

2002-03-18 - Added a new function name DM_QPOLY.  The primary benefit of the function is that it allow you to create polylines from existing entities without using the "Join" command.  The newly created polylines are highlighted before the function terminates so that you can easily view the results.

2002-03-13 - Updated the swap function to check for size discrepancies before replacing one item with another.  This was done at the request of a number of users, some of whom have mistakenly done things like swapped a 3/8 tapped hole for a 1/2 SHCS.  When a size discrepancy is detected, an alert dialog box is brought up that shows the size of the old item and the new item.  You then need to select YES to continue and perform the swap anyway, or NO to skip swapping the selected item.  And then because I know some of you will want swap to behave as before without the new size checking, I created a function called DM_QSWAP (quick swap) where the swap will behave as it did before.

2002-03-13 - Added new functions to BOM utilities that allow re-sequencing BOM detail numbers automatically in various directions such as left to right and top to bottom.

2002-03-12 - Added a new function to BOM utilities that allows resetting a selected group of balloons to have a new sheet number.

2002-03-07 - Changed ordinate dimension function to no longer allow control of dimension associatively from the dialog box.  All DIEMAKER dimension functions now turn on associatively..

2002-02-28 - Bend / Unbend was defaulting material thickness to the value last stored.  It now defaults to the value stored in DIE-DATA.

2002-02-21 - Removed a "fossil" that was causing plain holes drawn from the Supplies function to hole chart with 4 decimal places instead of defaulting to the current LUPREC setting.  This change affected only the description field.  DIMDEC controls the number of decimal places shown for the X and Y fields.

2002-01-23 - Added a new group of commands for editing dimensions.  These new commands are accessed from a new flyout menu added to the DIEMAKER dimensioning tool bar.

 The first of these commands allows you to pick anywhere on the extension line of an ordinate dimension and have the dimension text "pulled in" to that point.  This new command will certainly be helpful in cleaning up large details dimensioned with Quick Dim.

The other four new commands allow you align groups of ordinate dimensions in either the X or Y axis.  There are two commands for each axis that allow you to either remove the dog-legging or retain it.

2002-01-23 - Improved the plain AutoCAD dimension commands that are on the DIEMAKER dimensioning tool bar.  Previously these commands would automatically change to the current layer's dimension layer before beginning the command and then you would have to remember to return to the previously current layer.  They now take care of the layer changes on both side of the dimension command so that you no longer need to remember to return to the previous layer.
